Volvo: Volvo Fuel pump sensor, new sensor, fuel pump

Question
I put a fuel pump sensor in, the car ran for a day and now will not start, could it be the fuel pump. It just cranks and does not sound like it is getting fuel, could the new sensor short out?

Answer
Dan,
It could be fuel and many other things. Start with fuel pressure, do the pumps run, is there fuel in the tank? Does your car have a feed pump in the tank and the hose is broken and can not supply the main pump with fuel? See if the main pump gets power and ground. No power or ground follow that. If there is power will the pump run?
