Volvo: Washer Fluid Not Working, volvo s60, 2004 volvo s60

Question
Hi,

I have a 2004 Volvo s60 and while I have plenty of washer fluid, it will not work when I try to use it. Well, I should say that when I replace the fuse, it works about four times and then the fuse burns out.

What would this be a symptom of? Is the pump bad? It is so difficult to get to the washer unit I would like to have an idea of what could be wrong before heading to the shop.

Answer
Gayle,
If the fuse blows there coould be a bare wire touching a ground, or the motor is shorted and blowing the fuse. You need to inspect it and look things over. Find the washer bottle and look for the pump then see if you see any bare wires. That would be a start. No telling how long that would take or what is wrong.
