Volvo: Is this my transmission?, 2001 volvo v70, volvo v70

I have a 2001 Volvo V70 2.4 Turbo Wagon. When I accelerate while driving the RPM's rev-up and I have to take my foot off and then press again to move forward.  When I park, it hesitates and then jumps into gear.  Why?  Help!

The car will have to be tested before any final decisions, but it does sound like the trans is failing. Common problem. Also have the test done for anti freeze in the coolant. When they mix it messes up the trans. There is a cooler in the radiator that cools the trans fluid and that sometimes leaks into the coolant and visa/versa.
