ongoing problems with alarm on 1997 Volvo V70.how can i disconnect alarm system permanently. thanks

There is an alarm relay and/or central locking relay. A car without an alarm uses a different type. So if you go to the dealer and buy a relay for a car witout an alarm that might work. Now you must have a remote to unlock the car, so you may also need a different locking relay, one for a car without an alarm. Or you could unplug the horn at the firewall and see if the dealer car "un-program" the flashing lights. This is not a typical question, so I am not 100% sure how you will get it to work. Could you just simply have the alarm repaired?
