I have had my car into the Volvo workshop several times over the last few months in relation to the information window warning coming on (small engine logo) and when the workshop checked the O2 sensor was indicated as the problem. They have tried to fix but still doing the same one week after the workshop visit. Question as an engineer I am interested to know how many O2 sensors are there and where are they fitted. Is there something special in the settings up I can pass on to my Volvo workshop.

Your car should have two HO2S and they are in the exhaust system, screwed in.
Tony if you need to supply the shop that you are working with information I would say that you need a better shop one that knows and works on Volvos. Just an opinion on my part. Nothing special to do once the O2 has been installed just clear all codes reset the control units adaption make the drive cycles and you are done.
