Volvo: speedo does not work?service worning light, speed sensors, scan tool

good day, i have just picked up my vovo v70 1998 mod, the speedo is not working and the service light is on , any recomendations? HELP.

The service is a mileage counter and the reset is done with the Volvo scan tool. For the speedo, read codes for the combi (combined insturment panel). It may take you somewhere. I have seen bad speedo's, bad ABS control units, bad cruise control units, speed sensors in the trans. Go to a shop that knows the Volvo for some help.
