Volvo: Volvo S70 Climate control & power seat., automatic temperature control, volvo s70

Question
I have a 1999 S70 basic model, non turbo.  The climate control on this model has manual temperature/fan adjustments.  If I replaced the unit found above the radio with a unit from a model with the automatic temperature control, would it work in my car? or are there additional components I would need to replace?  I've had a Volvo with the auto temp./fan control & liked it.  Also could I swap out my manual drivers seat & put in a power seat?  I've found a used power seat & though I could swap the cushions with the ones on my current seat & install it so it would match my current upholstery.  Would that be a big deal to do?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Answer
John,
The manual system uses cables to control temp. The Auto system has blend door motors. The heater cases are different.
On the seat you ahould ba able to swap it out. Just make sure you have the wire harness under the seat to plug in the power seat.
