Volvo: Volvo warning light, orange box, warning light

Question
I have at 98 Volvo and a warning light just appeared that is not in the manual.  There is a slanted upside down Y in green, inside an orange box.  Any ideas what this means?

Answer
Lisa,
Well not real sure. Does your dash have a Check Engine Light? Here in the U.S. we use a check engine light, in other markets I have seen this similar type of symbol as a check engine light. However since that is an important light and you do not have it in you manual it leaves me to guess. I would say that if your dash is not equipped with a check engine light then that is what it means. It maybe best to call the service dept at your local dealer and ask them. If that is a light for check engine, then you need toget the car in to have the fault codes read and repairs made.
