Volvo: 1999 v70 xc key stuck, rear hatch, auto shift

Question
Hi I just bought  a 99v70 xc and I can not get the key out of the ignition.  I jiggled the steering wheel and the auto shift and still it will not release.  Also the back hatch won't open and the light on the dash is on for the door being open.
Also the ABS light is on. ser-vice light also on.  I would like to do as much work on the car as I can. Please help!

Answer
Nick,
If the shifter will not go all the way into Park the key will not be able to be removed. Is the shifter button "popping" all the way out in Park? There is a cable that runs from the shifter to the ignition switch that maybe out of adjustment. That will allow the key to be turned all the way to the off position so it can be removed.
The rear hatch needs the locking assembly. It has the switch in it for the light on the dash.
ABS should have some codes in the system. That year car has had problems with the control unit for the ABS. That is a common fault.
Service is a counter and needs to be reset. Key position one push and hold the mileage reset button turn the key to position two (light on dash operating)hold until service light flashes about 20 seconds then release.
