Volvo: Vacuum Leak in my 95 960, vacuum leak, vacuum system

Question
Hi
My 960 problem, as it seems most do with the vacuum system and the heat/ac vents.  However I do not think it is as severe as the bellows diaphragms on the left side of the case but on the actual vacuum resevoir/tank on the right.  There is a very audible hiss from this side of the dash when you hit the recirc, and of course airflow slows while accelerating.  Is this tank replaceable, and where exactly does it lie.  Is there major disassembly involved to access it.  Can a "universal" be put in its place to simplify the process?

Thanks for the help

Michael

Answer
Michael,
It is located behind the climate unit. Sometimes taking the entire climate unit loose pulling it out a bit you can stand on your head and reaching through the rec door and removing the floor covering you can get it out. Match it to your universal to see if it will fit.
