Volvo: 1996 volvo 850 turbo, castro oil, couple cars

I have a 1996 Volvo Turbo 850 110K miles runs great, I use 10-30w Castro oil,I was wondering if it would be a good idea to start using synthetic oil thinking it might help the turbo.  Also, do i need to continue to use Volvo oil filters?  thank you.

Yes continue to use the Volvo or Mann oil filters they tend to be the best choice. If you use syntheic oil you may devolop an oil leak. That is something you have to try. I have seen a couple cars start leaking oil and then go back to standard oil and the leak stops.
