Volvo: Car wont start, battery cables, starter problem

Question
I have a 1990 Volvo 740GL. If I jump the car, it will stay running, but as soon as I turn it off it won't crank back up. The battery is only 4 months old. What else can it be? Do I have a starter problem?

Answer
Kwane,
Have the charging system tested, see if the battery is good and if the alt is charging. Too hard to make a guess, things need to be tested and inspected. The battery cables for instance, connection at the starter, body grounds, amp draw of the starter, etc.
