Volvo: V70 headrests, release mechanism, head rest

Question
Hi Ray. This may seem trivial, but the front headrests on my excellent 1999 V70 are loose and noisy in the channels. I want to shim them, but can't figure out the release mechanism inside the rear seat covers. I was told that I can push, or slide or somehow relese the headrest locks through the seat cover. All the dealers want to dismantle the seat. I can feel something in there, but don't know what I'm looking for. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Answer

seat frame
Jeff,
I have not tried a V70, but all the othere headrests you follow the rail into the seat back and at the bottom there is a plastic clip you push to release the head rest. That is pushed toward the front of the car from the rear side of the seat back.
