Volvo: 1992 volvo, gas gauge, loose connections

about how much will it cost to fix the speedometer on a 1992 Volvo and should i buy the part and then take to a place and also the mileage stopped working and the gas gauge is flowing up and down what should i do please help

If you need the speedo repaired, have things tested so you know what is at fault first and the cost. Ask the shop if you should get the proper parts. At the same time have the fuel gauge tested and the sending unit in the tank. You might have just loose connections at one end or the other. A good inspection will be needed to help find the faults.
