Volvo: lack of power, volvo 850 glt, throttle position sensor

Question

Hello,

I have a 95 Volvo 850 GLT non turbo model with 180,000 miles. the car lacks power when its hot  or sometimes intermittently. the cars engine has been tested for compression and they are all 13 bars, no leaking head gasket or other problems. the tranmssion was also replaced due to noise and malfunction with a new one. I also replaced the dist cap, rotor, plugs, maf sensor, throttle position sensor, o2 sensor catalytic converter. the car still lacks power. my suspect is the fuel pump it has never been replaced or tested. also I wonder where I can find the throttle switch to test it.

thanks

Answer
Mete,
The throttle position sensor is on the throttle housing and has a plug with three wires. It faces more downward toward the radiator.
I have seen a couple of cars that the fuel pump was weak and the car had lacked power. Pressure should be about 3 bar rising slightly when accelerating, and not dropping below 1 bar when turned off for the first 40 minutes.
