Volvo: 1994 850 volvo wagon, engine cranks, volvo wagon

Question
My engine cranks but won't start. I tried to start it the next day and it does the
same thing. The last time I had this problem I had it towed and the truck driver
said it was flooded. Is there a way I can start it with out having it towed again?
Thanks

Answer
Roxanne,
The only way not to tow it would be to fix it where it is. You can pull the plugs out dry them off and put a single squirt of oil from an oil can into each cylinder, crank over the engine for about 2 seconds, install the dried plugs or new ones and see if it will start.
You can do this if you are certain that the reason the car will not start is due to flooding. Remember that there are other causes that also cause the samething.
