Volvo: cam shaft align/tenisor, e mail address, internal engine components

95 850 turbo cant get timm belt ten to collaps, do u twist it or depress it ,it wont depress at all .also could u snd a pict or to of alignment of the cams ..like a dummie  my helper took  sprokets  off with out marking ,but i do know witch is witch intake exht..i dont have align tool ,but i m sure there a way to do it with out ,got tdc up  got lobes intake up ,marks almost line ..and referances  u could show would be helpfull  thanks mike

There is a special tool to colapes the tensioner, however some use a vice and slowly push it in. There is not a way through this site I can send photos. Maybe a fax number or an e-mail address would help.

Caution: Incorrect removal or installation of the timing belt can result in damage to internal engine components.

!    Do not rotate crankshaft or camshaft with timing belt removed. Pistons and/or valve damage can occur.


Note: Make sure that rear upper timing cover is in place and that the alignment mark on it has not been broken off.

Note: If camshaft gears have been removed, special tools must be use to properly set engine timing.
