Volvo: 98 V70 turbo stalls at idle, vacuum lines, dirty fuel

Question
My 98 V70 will occasionally stall while at idle, waiting at a red usually.  The engine dies and after about 5 to 10 minutes it can be restarted.  I had the car checked out by a local shop.  They did not pass on any information about diagnostic codes, but thought the problem was dirty fuel injectors.  The injectors were cleaned and the problem went away for about a week.  I can not find any common or repeatable item to link to the problem.  The tach is steady at just under 1000 rpm at idle.  I'm open to ideas

Answer
Michael,
I would start by reading the fault codes, making the proper repairs, and then looking at the intake hoses to and from the intercooler to see that all is intact and tight. Make sure that the intercooler has no holes, they crack on the bottom. Remove the throttle housing and clean the carbon out of it. Look for other vacuum lines that might be broken (that is a common fault).
