Volvo: VOLVO 850 STALLS!, volvo specialists, express ways

Question

I drive a 1994 Volvo 850 with 194K miles.  Recently, it has been hard to start.  According to firends and family members, they say its the fuel pump. When I start the car, it works for a while like for short  distance then suddenly the engine stops on the road. The problem has become frequently more during the summer compared to driving in the winter. It also stalls when i moving the car after it has been parked for 10 -15 mins. This happens every time  on the express ways and highways so i have to pull over and wait for about 15 mins for it to  start again. The car has been taken to Volvo specialists (VOlvo Burundy) and paid over $500 but to no avail. Then took it to another mechanic, 2 days later the stalling starts again. please help me out. what is the problem? what needs to be fix and how much would it cost me or what would be the estimate? Thanks for ur help!

Answer
Kwadwo,
Your car will need diagnostic time and some testing time to see what things work and what is failing. You need a shop willing to take on the problem and drive the car for a few days while testing. You can throw a fuel pump at the car in hopes of repairing it, that is your choice. Sorry no short and sweet answer, it will take time to verify and find the faults.
