Volvo: 1993 -960 wagon, head gasket, gasket

The head gasket blew and when it happened the light for the transmission came on as well as some others. The computer was reset after the repair but the Transmission light stays on and also the a/c compressor will not turn on either.
The trans was checked and is fine - if you run power direct to the compressor it runs. Could you advise where to look next or what to try.

Trace the wire from the A/C back to see if it has become loose or disconnected. You should also check the fuses and test the control unit to see that power is coming out and going to the compressor.
Have the codes read again and see if there are any faults in the trans. If the light remains on there has to be a short causing that to happen. You might get the help of a qualified Volvo tech to trace out the short.
