Volvo: ;93 940 volvo sedan, tank unit, head rest

2 qs:  1. my gas gage is very inconsistent.  it stick in one area or drops a 1/4 of a tank with a single acceleration.  is there any cheap fix?
2. i find the head rest to be pushing my head too far down where i am fighting against it to look forward.  is there any adjustment for the head rest?

You might try to remove the dash gauge out and blow out any dust and or dirt, it maybe sticking because of it being dirty. Also the tank unit might be sticking pull it out and see if you can see if there is a reason for it to stick.
Sorry there are not any adjustments to be made on the head rest.
