Volvo: 2003 Volvo S60 Air Conditioning Problem, volvo s60, climate system

Question
One side of the car is blowing out cold air and the other side is blowing out hot (warm) air when the air conditioning is turned on.  Have you seen this before?  What might be the issue?

Thanks.

Answer
John,
When the system becomes low on freon the evaporator gets colder on only one side. That will account for some difference in temps side to side. You may have a bad control head for the climate system also. First I would have the system checked by reclaiming all the freon and then refilling with the proper amount, to see if you need to go deeper into the system.
