Volvo: Intermittent fault- turn indicators stop working, intermittent fault, turn indicators

Question
I've just bought a '96 850 GLT- once a day the turn indicators stop working for a short period. At the same time the ABS and TRACS warning lights come on. Any ideas?

Answer
David,
There have been many problems with the ABS/Tracs control units. It may need replacing. About $425.00 for a new, not rebuilt control unit. I have had trouble with the rebuilts at least twice. For the signals, flip the hazard switch a couple of times to make sure that it is not slightly stuck. If that don't work I would replace the hazard flasher unit.
