Volvo: volvo 460 drivers side window, volvo 460, arm rest

Question
I have a problem with my drivers side window. there is something broken and in order to see inside I have to take off the inside of the door. I have not been able to find for sure how to take the door apart and would really like to not destroy it :)

What I have found is that it should be done by taking out the door openinghandle cover, then the piece of carpeted intererior to get to the screws which hold the arm rest. From there I think it is possible to look inside the door and see what is wrong with the window. Can you confirm if this is the way to do it?

The main problem is that my window does not go up and down like it should. It appears to be resting on two supports which keep it horizontal when going up and down and now one of those supports seems to be not supporting making it impossible to close the window without keeping it straigt.

with kind regards,

Lukas

Answer
Lukas,
Since here in the United States we donot have 460's and I have never seen one, I can not tell you how to take off the door panel. Our cars here have a seriers of push clips that will pull out of the doors metal and fasten to the door panel. All I can say for certain is carefully look to see if there are clips you can pry out of the door, and that will stay with the door panel.
