Volvo: Tailgate Electrics, losing the ground, cicuits

Hi Ray
I have a 1993 240 station wagon (estate). All the electrics to the tailgate have stopped working i.e. Rear wiper, High Level Stop Light, licence plate lights, etc.  I can't see any breaks in the wire.  Do you know if there is a connector somewhere for the wires? Any ideas or ways of checking the cicuits would be gratefully received.

Pull down the headliner under the rear hinge left and right, you will fine the connectors. Use a test light to test for power. Even when the wire do not look broken often they are. On rare occasions the ground strap in the hinge is broken losing the ground. The hinge needs to be removed to see the wire.
