Volvo: 93/940 highbeam headlight failure, broken wires, oem parts

Question
Hi again Ray! Thankyou for your advice.

I already checked blade fuse# 18 & it was OK ... but did not check #20 blade fuse yet.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You mentioned "make sure the "K" relay is OK & tight"...

My  question regarding that is ...
What is a "K"  relay ??? And  WHERE is a "K" relay located??
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ALSO... What about the manual headlight  high/low beam "indicator stalk" on the  steering column.. is there anything in there that would have failed & caused no high beam on the passenger side headlight  ?????

I just thought of this last later night.

AS for the blade fuses, in general...I replaced them this Fall as preventative maint. None of the flat U shaped metal was broken. I replaced all with newer ones anyway.

I bought this Volvo used a bit over 3 years ago & don't know how old the OEM parts are on it.

I know blade fuses are much more durable than the older pill shaped ceramic ones were. Thanks. EML

Answer
EML,
Relays are locted behind the fuses and marked on top. I never did see a indicator stalk that caused that problem. Test it with a test light. I would say it would be more likley the headlight switch to fail, or become loose for the heat of the curernt flowing through it. Look for broken wires around the headlight or bad grounds.
