Volvo: 96 Volvo 850, volvo dealer, rear shocks

Question
Brief history: Purchased the car few months ago for a lttle over 6k, 89k miles, lots of service records, one owner, came from a Volvo dealer. Problem: We need shocks/strurts/suspension fixed and now a starter! We have been quoted close to $2000 for this work, does this seem right? Are there any options for us and should we use only OEM parts? We want to keep this car as long as possible.

Answer
Josh and Wendy,
Front struts and rear shocks installed $700.00. Starter rebuilt $325.00, used one $200.00. So depending on what the suspension will need your getting a fair deal. I would stick the OEM parts as much as possible, they are built to fit the car properly. Look how long the parts have lasted on the car now.
