Volvo: About the keyless remote, volvo specialist, independent volvo

I bought a 98 S70 T5, the remotes that came with the car are not functioning, then I bring those to the dealer for reprogram and they told me that they need the PIN for reprogram, but I asked the last owner and he said he didn't know about it, so what can I do now?

Hi Thomas,here is a copy of old answer from Jimmy earlier this year.
All 98 S70's will need a PIN number and special tool to program the remote. Only a dealer or an independent Volvo specialist will be able to program it for you. Also, you will need to check the part number on the remote to make sure it is compatible with your car.
