Volvo: 1991 volvo 240 sedan 213000 miles, mileage cars, volvo 240

I am looking at car and am concerned about the milage.  I normally would not consider a car with this many miles (213K) but have read and heard that this is not unusually high for a volvo.  Here is the ad http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/car/245892230.html

You are right, Volvo's generally last a very long time. In my work I see quite a few high mileage cars. The car looks good and the price is right. I would take the car to a shop that does Volvo work and ask for a used car inspection that will tell you the condition of the car.
See if you can also look at the service history, as this will help to see what things have been replaced. Where in Chicago is this car located? I know of some shops that work on Volvo.
