Question
Thanks - as a follow up, would the car just shut off while running if it was the starter?

-----Question-----
My car died at an intersection yesterday. It would not start again - it will not crank. The battery seems fine as the lights, radio, etc work. Is it the alternator, or would that also drain the battery? Suggestions?
-----Answer-----
Ron,
Have the battery tested. Make sure the cables are connected both ends, the negative breaks at the mount to the block. Test the starter and make sure that the charging system works.

Answer
Ron,
No the starter will not cause the car to stall, unless the battery connection to it is somehow loose or broken not allowing the smaller red wire at the starter to deliever power to the rest of the wire harness for the fuel injection. Stalling could have been a number of possibilities. Have the electrical system tested including the alt, battery and starter. Making sure that the charging system is working properly keeping the battery cahrged.
