Volvo: Check engine light, light ray, v 70

Question
Ray,

The wife saw how happy I was with your knowledge and response and has another problem she just mentioned. Her check engine light has gone on 4 times after different repairs costing over $1500.00 and still the problem exists. ( baro sensor was one of the repairs)  She noted that it came back on during the hot humid week we had here in WNY in August and has remained on since.

Jim,
On the "D" post there is a speaker cover, pry that off and pull the red clip and remove the speaker. Now you will be able to see the bulb socket. Look at the socket position as that will help with installation.

Answer
Jim,
If the check engine light is on that means that there is a fault code in the system and will need to be repaired. It will have to go to a shop that can read the codes using a scanner with Volvo software. Sometimes a code excites in the system that is just a "glitch", and after clearing it all is fine. However it can only be read using the scanner.
