Volvo: 6-CD player, Volvo 850 1995, volvo dealer, volvo 850

Ok i have a 6cd changer in the trunk, it works fine. i just bought this vehicle....and left the lights on one night....as i was jump starting the battery the stereo consel faded out . and ever since then i get these messages "code 9" or "code e", then it wants a code to be entered im assuming, so after hitting numbers and trying then it says "tpe, or tape" and then goes to "error" and "off"....

the manual didnt have anything about rebooting or reseting the cd changer, or box....so i was wondering if you could  help me out.....hopefully its simple and im missing something....but any help is much appreciated.

The radio locks out after three failed attempts to enter a code. Get the model number off the front or the radio. Pull out the radio and get the part number and the serial number off the top of the radio. Have the VIN number handy call a Volvo dealer and ask them to get the radio code for you. Now you need to ready that locked out radio, turn the key on to the accessory position and also turn on the radio, leave it on for about two hours and the radio will go from off to code. Put in the correct code the radio should now be on.
