Volvo: replace manual front seat with an automatic seat, salvage yard, electrical harness

Question

I replaced the front seats in my 1995 850.  The old passenger's seat was manual.
The one I bought at the salvage yard is automatic.  The electrical harness in my
volvo has only two connectors and the seat requires three.  Is it okay to
install the correct harness in this model? Is it difficult to do? I could get
the old harness from the salvage yard or purchase a new one from the dealer.
Thanks - Joe

Answer
Joe,
The wire harness is a little tough to do but not impossible. To get the seat to work properly I would take the time to run the harness. You are missing only one harness, can you verify what harness you are missing? Maybe it is for the light in the seat belt catch and not as important as the power to the seat or seat heater.
