Volvo: key stuck in ignition, gear shift linkage, 1998 volvo v70

I have a 1998 volvo v70 4d sw. My ignition key is stuck inside the ignition i am still able to use veh w/no problem other than i have to ,leave the key in the ignition and use an extra key to lock the dors. help  &  thanks

There might be a slight adjustment that will need to be done on the gear shift linkage to allow the key to turn all the way to the off position so that the key can be removed. See the linkage needs to be in the park position before the key can be removed. There is a cable that runs from the linkage to the ignition lock.
