Volvo: M41 Overdrive, oil level, overdrive

Question
Hello,  I recently had my inept cousin-in-law replace the clutch in my 75 242DL.  When I got it back after 8 months of sitting the Overdrive doesnt work where it was always very reliable before.  Along with removing tools left attatched to bolts under the hood there were wires unconnected that I am still trying to sort out.  I was hoping you would be able to tell me that my not working overdrive could be fixed as easy as connecting the electrical that could possibly have been unpluged.  If not this do you have any other ideas of what could have been messed with that disabled my precious overdrive?  Thanks for you help.

Answer
Chris,
There are wires that go to the overdrive, are the wires near the rear of the trans? Does the light on the dash work? Check fuses and see about those wires. If the trans is low on oil the pump will not be able to create enough pressure. Check the oil level.
