Volvo: 2002 S80 T6 Brakes, power bleeder, s80 t6

Question
I recently purchased my S80.  I thought I had worn brakes so I removed the wheels to change the pads.  Pads were brand new.  Pedal seems to go to the floor when I apply the brakes. I am guessing the brakes need to be bled.  I bought a generic brake bleeding kit like the kind I have used on domestic cars and even my old VW bug when I was a kid.  Before I started I figured I better do some research to make sure there is nothing unusual about this car that I should be aware of, such as how to handle an ABS system, before I start.  Is there anything non-standard about bleeding the brakes on an S80 that I should be aware of.  Thanks for your help.

Answer
Rich,
If you really want to do that job yourself start at the right rear and work your way forward. Bleed until your fluid is clean and clear of air bubbles. Power bleeding would be a better option because of the amount of fluid in the system. The power bleeder pressureizes the entire system and under pressure pushes out air and old fluid. You do not need someone to pump the brake. There is fluid in all the lines, calipers, hoses, ABS pump, master cylinder. Use DOT 4 fluid.
