Volvo: 1996 850R - Starting after refueling, 850r, recycling system

ONLY, ONLY after refueling the car fails to start on the first turn of the key.  The second time the accelerator needs to pushed slightly and then the car starts with high rpm's (revs loudly).  The emptier the fuel tank before refueling the hard the car is to start.  The service station says there is an intermittent computer code for the "evaporative control unit" part of the emissions fumes recycling system between the fuel tank and engine.  Is this the problem? If not what is?  Thanks.

The problem you stated is fairly broad and if the codes are read in your car it should give a clearer set of codes that would lead to the sorce of the problem. Anyway yes it should be looked at so that it can be taken care of. Go to a shop that can read the codes and repair the problem, before it leads to bigger problems.
