Volvo: water on floor mats, fuel injection system, c drain

Question
1992 240 wagon...when ac is on, water collects on floor mats
rather than dripping on ground as it should.  how to fix?

also...i am a long time fan of the 240 wagons with manual trans
and i found out about an 87 with 60k that has apparantly been
garaged and is in great shape.  my present wagon is at 190k and
has numerous quirks and although reliable is starting to have a
hard time keeping up highway speed on upgrades.  would an 87
with low mileage have any downsides in your opinion.

Alan,
Remove the right side center panel look for the A/C drain hose and remove it for cleaning. The hose is about a 17mm "S" shaped hose, goes from the heater case through the center hump out of the vehicle.
The 87 has the same basic engine, just a less refined fuel injection system. Quite possibly a very good car.
