Volvo: warning lights, obd ii scanner, volvo s80

Question
I have 2 questions. We just purchased a 2000 Volvo S80 T6. It has just had a service but the service light keeps coming on - do you know how we can reset it. Second, the emmisions light is on, and before we car drive after turning on the engine we have to wait a minute or two before pushing the gas, if not it cuts out. After a while the ABS and STC lights come on. We have had the car 1 day - What can it be?  And is there anything we can do to fix it?

Answer
Chantal,
Put the key in the I position and push in the trip reset button, while holding that button in turn the key to the II position continuing to hold it in until you see the service light begin to flash, release the button, That will reset the service light.
The other problems you have will have to be diagnosised by someone that can access the system with a OBD II scanner, They will have to read the trouble codes and repair the problems before the check engine light and the ABS light will go out and stay out.
