Volvo: Volvo 850 cutting off, fuel pump relay, volvo wagon

Question
Hi. My Volvo wagon keeps cutting off on me. Especially if I am running errands. Like today, I let the car warm up before leaving, went to the post office, (turned the car off for about 30 minutes) got back in and went to another store, where I was there for about 15 minutes. When I came out that store, the car wouldn't start. Well, it did start, but cut right back off. A couple weeks ago, I was driving for some time, came home, turned the car off to run in the house real quick, and when I came out, it started but I was only able to drive one block before the car just shut down. I had to sit for an hour and a half before it would start and stay on again.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.

Answer
Ayishah,
You should have the fuel pump tested and you may want to replace the fuel pump relay. Another possibilty is go to a shop that knows Volvo and leave it with them for a few days and let them test it. The most common fault has been in the fuel system, especilly the fuel pump relay.
