Volvo: Numerous ETS lights- now no warranty!, service rep, v70

Question
So I have a 99 v70 n/a - Bought it new in 99 and have been using the same dealer - Dyer and Dyer- since new. Bought the aftermarket warranty when new to assure the longevity of the car. Has been to the dealer no less than 10 times for the ETS light associated running problems and it has happened again- except no it is out fo warranty. I believe this issue was never fixed, I believe they basically put "bandaids" on it with new software and host of other remedies, but never replaced the system...Should I be liable for the replacment of this ongoing issue? I had the service manager print off the records in case a letter to Volvo NA is required- think it will help?
THanks for you help!

Answer
Phil,
Have the Service Manager at Dyer-Dyer arrange a meeting between you and their service rep. He should be at that dealer at least once a month. Show him all the repair orders that you have and ask why you should pay for a problem that was never fixed? If he should balk ask the name of his supervisor and tell him that you will ask the help of the supervisor in this case.
