Volvo: 1993, 940, B230F, crash sensor, 1993 volvo 940

Question
Hi Ray, I Have a 1993 Volvo 940 that I bought 2years ago from a co-worker of mine that has developed electrical problems.  My SRS light comes on and will stay on, which causes my battery to discharge until it dies. Now my transmission is stuck in the 3 speed mode. It's really frustrating.  I have cleaned my fuel injectors, gotten 2 tune-ups, and yesterday I serviced my transmission. Please tell me what to do next.  And one more thing, it will just die all of a sudden; at any speed, at any moment, without warning. 9448871, B230F.  Thank You for any assistance you can provide to me on this, I really apprieciate this.

Answer
Allen,
As for the SRS light I would say that the crash sensor is bad. Have you been able to pull any codes? What if you unplug the crash sensor does the light go out?
The trans has over drive that is controled via a relay and solenoid, now the weak point there is the relay. Get access to the fuse and relay box look in it and find the relay to the right side of the car and it should be a 3523804 a white one. Place your hand on the relay and push the O.D. button on the shifter and see if it clicks.
