Volvo: VOLVO 850 REAR HATCH, volvo 850 wagon, gas strut

Question
I have a 1996 Volvo 850 Wagon. How do you change the struts that hold up the rear cargo door? I am a decent mechanic, but do not want to get in over my head if special tools/ expertise are required, thanks in advance, VR

Ok, the book has about the worst pictures concerning the actual removal of the strut, but pretty much just take off the panel trim, and I quote "slacken off the bracket holding the gas strut to the bodywork."  Then press off the strut.  Be sure to take care when removing the panels, it's mostly held in place by plastic keepers, which are cheap to replace.
