Silly question. The radio on my 2000 S80 works only sporadically on the am band in Phoenix, Arizona. If it is working, scratchy but listenable, and I go over even the slightest bump, nothing but static. The same thing happens to my friends 2 Saabs. Is there something that Swedes have against sports talk radio? By the way, there is no discernable antenna on my car, nor my friends. Replace, antenna, buy a Nissan? Thanks for your help. pjo.

Hello Pat! The antenna is built into the rear window. You may want to have someone check the connections. Also, there is an antenna booster that sometimes goes bad. I have seen the rear glass replaced for that reason. However, no matter what you do, the AM reception will be better but not perfect.
