Dear Jimmy,

I just purchased a 1996, 960 Volvo for my again dad.  I noticed the car alarm turns on everytime I lock the doors.  I cannot disable the alarm with the remote.  I have since changed the remote batteries and it is still not working.  I have to open the driver side door everytime to disable the alarm.  Please let me know how I can solve this annoying problem.  THANKS!!!  Keith

Hell! Try to re-program the remote. Do this by sitting in the car with all doors closed. Turn the key in the igntion 5 times off and on. The 5th time keep it on and press a remote button for 3 sec. Turn off the ignition and test the remote.
