Volvo: Air pump for 98 XC, solonoid, check valve

Is their a way to permanently disarm the check engine light specific to the air pump in lieu of buy a new air pump, check valve, and solonoid.

If I make the repairs how much would the parts be?

Hello Tom! There is no way to do that. The only way to get the light off is to fix the problem. It is also against federal law to tamper with the check engine light. The repairs for the air pump and related parts may cost around $700 depending on the shop.
