Volvo: Volvo S80 Headlights, volvo s80, 1999 volvo s80

Question
Jimmy -
Once again I call upon the God of all things VOLVO for advice about my 1999 Volvo S80!

One of my headlight lens assembly things (the place where the light bulb go!), seems to want to condense water and "fog" up.  It doesn't appear to be damaged in any way.  And the previous advice to others is that this thing is a bear to replace (most guys said "see your dealer").  What is your opinion?  This seems to be a common problem with the S80s (based on postings).  Do you have any theories on what causes it?  Is there an easy fix?

Thanks!
Nash

Answer
Hello! There is a new cover available for the headlight bulb. I'm talking about the round plastic cover you remove to replace the bulb. The new one is vented. Any dealer should have the part on hand. I would try that before you replace the lamps.
