Volvo: 960 rear suspension, oil shocks, rear shocks

Question
Model is a 1996 960 sedan.
The rear of the car is starting to sit lower and
when testing the suspension by pushing down the car will bounce up and down for a brief while.
Is this a case for new shocks and how hard are they to replace?
Previously my garage stated that the rear shocks
were leaking so replace with gas or oil shocks?

Thanks

Dave

Answer
Hello David! It is not that difficult to replace the rear shocks. It is best to call a Volvo dealer for the correct shock. There are a few different choices for that year and model. A Volvo parts dept. should be able to tell you what replacement shocks you need.
