Volvo: 1991 Volvo 740 Wagon no spark, inner fender, volvo 740

Question
I replaced the coil today and still no spark. Getiing fuel and cranks over smooth but no spark. I am told that there is some kind of spark control module on the left inner fender well. I guess it is supposed to have a heat shield on it but I can not find it at all. Only one part that has a heat shield on that side and it seems to be a map sensor or similar by the vacuum like line going to the intake. Anyway Please help. This is my back up vehicle while my Truck is getting a new engine and I have to work on Monday!

Thanks.

Answer
I could be the spark module, but I'm not sure how you would test it if you found it, other than looking for various output voltages.  Tracing the thinner lower voltage (12V) wires from the secondary connectors on the coil should lead  you to it.  At this stage, if the coil itself isn't the culprit, and you are sure the distributor is mechanically working, I would have a mechanic hook a diagnostic computer up to look for computer error codes, as it is probably something a bit harder to trace, like a failure of your knock control sensor, etc.
