Volvo: V40 Transmission Fluid & cabin filter, mobil atf, volvo transmission

Question
Hi,
Does the V40 (2001) require Volvo transmission fluid from the dealer, or will something like the Mobil ATF 3309 work?
I assume there's a filter in the transmission?  Is there any special trick to changing it and flushing and changing the fluid?

Also, where is the cabin air filter?  How do I get to it to change it?
  Thanks

Answer
Hello David! It best that you buy the synthetic trans fluid from the Volvo dealer. I would not use any other type of fluid. There is no serviceable filter in the trans. Just drain and refill it.
The cabin filter is located under the passneger side dashboard. Just remove the panel and you will see a flap with a plastic clip that will open to access the pollen filter.
